RSPH (BPCA) Level 2 certified and trainee technicians
Every JG technician we send to a job is a RSPH (BPCA) Level 2 certified and trainee technician. This is the standard professional qualification for pest control work in the United Kingdom, awarded by the British Pest Control Association. To be clear about the distinction: the certification is held by our technicians personally, as individuals. JG Pest Control is not a BPCA member company, and we do not present ourselves as one. We make this distinction explicitly because the difference matters and because customers ask. The thing that matters on a callout is the qualification of the person turning up at your door, and that person holds RSPH (BPCA) Level 2 certification.
Every technician carries proof of their certification, holds public liability insurance under the JG group policy, and works to the BPCA Code of Best Practice on every job. The same applies on commercial contracts: the technician carrying out the audit, the inspection or the treatment is a RSPH (BPCA) Level 2 certified and trainee technician, working to the same standards regardless of whether the job is a one-off residential rat callout or a national retail contract delivered through Vergo.
Why this matters
The UK pest control industry is largely unregulated. There is no legal minimum qualification required to set up as a pest controller, which is part of why one-van operators can undercut the market and why customer experience varies so widely.
