Wasps all over the garden, round the bins and on every drink you put down, but no nest you can see. The nest may be in a neighbour’s garden, underground, inside a wall cavity or high in a roof space you cannot get to.

If the nest can be found, taking it out is the real fix, through our wasp nest removal service. When it cannot be found or reached, we can set wasp pots away from where you eat and sit, topped up through the summer.

Find the nest first

Before anything else we look for the nest. If the nest is on your property and we can reach it, removing it deals with the whole colony, so you do not need pots at all.

What wasp pots do

A wasp pot is a trap with a lure inside that wasps are drawn to. We set them away from where you eat and sit, so wasps are pulled towards the pots and away from your table, and the pots are topped up through the summer.

Pots are not a treatment, they are not pest control and they do not remove a nest. They catch the foraging wasps that come looking for food, which is what makes a garden unbearable in late summer.

When wasp pots make sense

The nest is next door

It is on a neighbour’s property or in shared ground, so it is not yours to remove.

The nest cannot be found

Wasps are everywhere, but the nest is underground, in a cavity or out of sight.

The nest cannot be reached

It is somewhere that cannot be accessed safely, so removal is not an option.

You use the space all summer

Gardens, terraces and outdoor seating where people eat and sit out.

The honest limits

Pots reduce the nuisance, they do not end it. They catch foragers, not the colony that keeps producing them, so if the nest turns out to be on your property and reachable, removing it is the better answer and we will tell you so. That is why we look for the nest first.

Common questions

No. Pots catch the wasps that come to feed. Only removing the nest deals with the colony.

Nests are easy to miss: they can be underground, inside a wall cavity, under decking or in a neighbour’s garden. Tell us where you see the wasps and we will look for it.

We would not advise it. Disturbing a nest can provoke the colony. If you can see where the wasps are going in and out, call us and we will deal with it.

Arranging it

Get in touch or send us the details. Tell us where the wasps are and whether you have seen them going in and out anywhere, and we will start by looking for the nest.
