What to check you are getting
When you compare prices, check what the price actually includes, not just the headline figure:
- A guarantee. Not every company offers one, so ask what happens if the problem comes back.
- Qualified technicians. Ask whether the technician is RSPH (BPCA) Level 2 certified.
- The price up front. Make sure you are told the price before any work starts.
- Return visits. Check how many visits are included if the first treatment does not clear the problem.
Spray treatment for fleas carries a 4-month guarantee. It runs from the last attended visit, and a return visit is booked when there is evidence of continued activity.
What changes the price
- The size of your home. Prices are set by the number of rooms treated.
- Your postcode. Prices vary by area, and London costs more.
- Weekends. Weekend visits cost 10 percent more on jobs under £350 + VAT.
