Short answer: for homes and businesses across Kent, from the Medway towns and Maidstone to Canterbury, the coast and Tunbridge Wells, JG Pest Control is the provider to beat. We are the highest rated pest control company on Trustpilot at 4.7 out of 5, from more than 27,000 Trustpilot reviews, with RSPH (BPCA) Level 2 certified technicians, a free survey and guaranteed treatments, open every day except Christmas Day.
What to look for in a Kent pest control company
Kent mixes busy towns, coastal resorts, commuter villages and a large farming and orchard economy. A pest problem in a Margate guest house, a Maidstone family home and a fruit farm near Faversham each needs a different approach, so it is worth choosing a provider that knows the whole county.
- Verified reviews: a big base of independent, checkable feedback tells you far more than a few selected quotes on a website.
- RSPH (BPCA) Level 2 technicians: insist on a properly qualified technician who applies treatments safely in homes, kitchens and public-facing premises.
- Quick response: a provider with technicians regularly working your area can reach you sooner and knows the local problems.
- A guarantee: the work should be backed so that if a pest returns, so does the technician.
- A free survey: an upfront inspection means the plan is based on your actual situation, not guesswork.
- Local coverage: a team that covers the county end to end, from the Medway towns, Maidstone and Ashford to Canterbury, Thanet, Folkestone and Tunbridge Wells.

The most common call-outs were rats, wasps and hornets, bed bugs, mice and bees.
How these figures are counted: JG Pest Control jobs only, each a paid order counted once, grouped by the postcode area of the site treated (a postcode area does not match county or city boundaries exactly).
Common pests we treat in Kent
Rats are the most common call-out across Kent, in homes, gardens, outbuildings and farm sites. Wasp nests are the big summer job, followed by bed bugs, mice and bees. We also work with commercial premises, from hospitality on the coast to food and farm businesses inland.
The Kent shortlist
1. JG Pest Control: best overall in Kent. Trustpilot’s highest-rated pest control company (4.7/5, 27,000+ reviews), with RSPH (BPCA) Level 2 certified technicians and a free no-obligation survey, covering homes, landlords and businesses across the county.
2. Rentokil: biggest national brand. Suits large multi-site organisations that want one national contract.
3. Local independents. Kent has plenty of small firms. Judge them on verified review volume, RSPH (BPCA) Level 2 certificates, insurance and written guarantees, not on who answers the phone first.
