Rats gnaw cabling and contaminate food stores.

If you suspect you already have a rodent infestation, the first thing to do is get professional help. Rats and mice multiply quickly, so the sooner you act the easier the problem is to control. Once the immediate issue is dealt with, a few simple habits will help keep them from coming back.

Cut off the food supply

  • Store food in metal or glass containers so small thieves cannot chew their way in.
  • Clear away food waste and crumbs from the sink, the counter and the floor.

Manage your rubbish

  • Empty bins regularly and keep the lids fitting tightly.
  • Clean up any scraps in and around your outside bins.

Keep things tidy

  • Keep the house and garden clean, and keep garden clutter to a minimum so there are fewer places to hide.
  • Avoid putting organic food waste on the compost heap, as it can draw rats in.
  • Clear away nesting material such as cardboard.

If you have already seen signs of mice or rats, prevention has come too late and it is time to deal with the colony itself. Get in touch and we will clear the problem and help you keep it from returning. We are open every day except Christmas Day, from early until late.
